An annual showcase of the comedic talents of primary school children from across Leicester and Leicestershire! We have been working with young people to teach them the basics of joke telling and comedy performance and the participants will take to the stage to show off what they have learnt and we will crown one school the “funniest school in Leicestershire”. Leading the project are two experienced facilitators; writers, performance artists and comedians:
Rob leads workshops in performance poetry, comedy, improvisation, performance skills and creative writing. Over the years Rob has helped people of all ages create scripts, slam poetry, comedy songs and sketches, movies, raps, magazines and comic strips for a variety of specific purposes.
Rob’s workshops have an emphasis on literacy, teamwork and self-esteem. They can be tailored for any age or ability range and adjusted to incorporate any particular theme or area of the curriculum. Rob holds a full DBS Disclosure and public liability insurance.
Elaine has formed a one-woman theatre company ‘LaurieLorry’ which takes ‘everydayness’ and transforms it into a profound and extraordinary performed situation. The aim of Laurielorry is to explore the comedic possibilities in performance to expose humour and pathos that not only enlightens and entertains but communicates directly with the audience. She has devised, written and performed seven professional shows and has built up a following in the East Midlands Region.
