The BIG Weekend
A taste of the Leicester Comedy Festival in Blaby District, Harborough and The National Forest.
Unfortunately, Leicester Comedy Festival’s BIG Weekends are postponed until February 2022, when they will be back and bigger than ever in the Blaby District, Harborough District and The National Forest (Coalville and Ashby). The BIG Weekends have been running across Leicestershire for the last few years and aim to extend the grin created by the main festival in towns across the County.
Even though the full weekends are postponed, there are still some activities which you can take part in over the next few weeks and months:
- Children and young people from five schools in The National Forest have all submitted jokes which will all be displayed on The UK Kids’ Comedy Festival Facebook and Twitter pages.
- Service users from Blaby’s ‘A Place to Grow’ will be taking part in comedy activities, encouraging each other to raise a smile. Keep an eye on social media for more information.
- In Harborough, some community events are being planned with with schools and the elderly later on in the year, restrictions permitting. Watch out for more information on social media.
Just because live shows have had to be cancelled it doesn’t mean your February will be comedy free! To see a full list of shows view the most recent brochures here and to be kept up to date you can join the mailing list here.
