What facilities are available for disabled visitors during the festival?
Leicester Comedy Festival is held across several venues, and the facilities that are available for disabled visitors varies across each of these. Whilst we have access information displayed on the venue pages of our website, as well as an access guide with information provided by our venues, we recommend contacting the venue in advance to see what they have in place – this is the best way to get up to date information about the venue you are visiting!

Where can I stay when I’m in Leicester?
There are a number of hotel options in Leicester City Centre as well as other bookable accommodation. The festival have 4 hotel partners who may offer discounts during the festival – to find out more about these as well as a handy live map of accommodation in the area, head to our Accommodation page.
Where can I eat and drink?
There are plenty of places to eat and drink around Leicester and Leicestershire. Many of the festival venues serve food and drink, so you can always check ahead to see whether you can grab a pre-show meal and/or drink!

What else can I do while I’m in Leicester?
Leicester is home to a number of attractions which we recommend checking out if you’re in town for the day. New Walk Museum is home to some fantastic displays including Ancient Egypt, Picasso Ceramics and Dinosaurs. The National Space Centre is a museum and educational resource covering the fields of space science and astronomy, along with a space research programme in partnership with the University of Leicester. And you may remember the King that was buried in the car park – and now he has his very own museum and centre tells his incredible story of discovery, exhumation and reburial.

There are a number of car parks on all sides of the city which include:

Highcross John Lewis, 1 Burgess St, Leicester LE1 4QG
Lee Circle, Lee St, Leicester LE1 3RF
NCP Leicester East Street, East St, Leicester LE1 6NB
NCP Rutland Street, Halford St, Leicester LE1 1TQ

How many venues are there?
In 2025, Leicester Comedy festival will take place in 81 venues across Leicester and Leicestershire. These range from theatres to bars, restaurants and pubs as well as local libraries.
What time do events start and finish?
You can catch a comedy show at almost any time of day throughout the festival. Most shows start around midday and the latest shows finish at midnight.
Do you provide age guidance for shows?

What happens if I can’t find my tickets?
If you purchased your ticket(s) from us, you can request a resend of your ticket(s) by contacting our Box Office via email at tickets@comedy-festival.co.uk or over the phone on 0116 261 6812. If your tickets were bought elsewhere, arrangements may differ so please contact your ticket provider in this case.
Can I get a refund on my tickets?
Unfortunately, all tickets are non-refundable as agreed at time of purchase. This is because the money from ticket sales goes directly to the festival artists and venues, therefore we are unable to provide refunds. You can find our ticketing terms & conditions on our Ticket Information page.

Can I become a festival volunteer?
There are loads of opportunities for people to volunteer and gain valuable experience at one of the largest festivals of its kind in Europe.
Examples of volunteering roles include: event assistants, front of house assistants, marketing & distribution, drivers, artist liaison, administration, and Festival Hub support. There are also opportunities to work on the UK Kid’s Comedy Festival which runs at the same time.

Can I perform at Leicester Comedy Festival?
It is still possible to perform at Leicester Comedy Festival. To do this you will need a venue and date agreed and to register it on Eventotron when we reopen for late registrations. Please note, our brochure is now in the proofreading and production stage so any new shows that are registered will only be listed on our website.

Do you charge booking fees on tickets?
All ticket purchases are subject to a standard £1.50 booking fee per ticket to help pay for our Box Office. Booking fees may vary on some shows, as we must align with the venue or promoter’s policy. The maximum booking fee we charge is £10 per basket, and booking fees are never refundable.
Can I buy a ticket on the door?
As long as tickets for the show are still available, you are able to purchase them on the door, however we encourage anyone who would like to come to a show to book in advance to avoid disappointment! All venues will have the facilities to take payment on the door subject to capacity and ticket availability. Where can I get a brochure from?
You should be able to get a brochure from one of our registered venues and we also stock them in pubs, cafes and shops throughout Leicester City Centre. If you don’t live in the area you can get one delivered to your door! Just head to our Shop page to order yours.
Can I buy Leicester Comedy Festival merchandise?
